Author Guidelines

Guideline  to Contributors

 

Andalas Management Review (AMAR) published by the Institute of Management, Faculty of Economics, Andalas University is a medium of communication and dissemination of literature review, theoretical and empirical research results and business cases. The journal is open to faculty members, students, researchers and professionals of business and management from Indonesia and overseas.

 

Submission

The manuscript in a softcopy form should be submitted to the AMAR editorial board’s email address at lmunand@gmail.com.

 

Writing Format

Article submitted for review should be in the range of 4,000 to 6,000 words and typed on A4 size paper with 1.5 spacing and margins of 3 cm. Each article should follow the following format:

  • The title page contains: title (maximum 12 words), name of author, institution, address, phone number and e-mail.
  • The second page contains: abstracts of 100-200 words and a maximum of six (6) keywords.
  • The next pages contain the main body of the article which contains: introduction, literature review, method, results and discussion, conclusion and implications, and references.

 

References

References should adhere to the APA system stating the author's name and date of publication are cited in the text. References written according to the alphabet and placed at the end of the article with the following format:

Language and Spelling

AMAR published in English. Articles written in English can use US or UK English spelling. While the article written in the Indonesian language must adapt to the Indonesian correct spelling. Paper in Indonesian will be translated by an official translator of the Andalas University Language Center with the cost charged to the authors before the review process is done. Once the article is accepted for publication, the English proof reading will be done by AMAR in cooperation with Andalas University Language Center.

 

Tables and Figures

Any tables and figures should be numbered consecutively following the order of the text. Figures and tables included in the article should be designed such that it allows for reduced up to 50 percent to accommodate the printing process.

 

Review

All articles will be sent to the editor through a blind review process.  Results of the review would be sent back to the author to be repaired and must be returned no later than two (2) weeks to ensure no delay in publication. Article will only be published after corrections are completed.

 

 

Copyright

Author(s) must declare in writing that the article submitted to the Andalas Management Review is an original article that has not been published or in the process of publication in another journal. Article accepted for publication, the editors will request the appointment of the copyright of the author to the Institute of Management, Faculty of Economics, Andalas University by filling out the form that will be provided.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
